Kids Eat Free This Summer!

Kids eat free this summer at Food for Lane County's Summer Food Program. Children and youth 18 years of age and younger are invited to eat at one of 55 sites located throughout Lane County. Most sites open Monday, June 23. No registration is required. Children ages 1-2 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. They cannot provide food for parents or guardians, but they do invite you to bring your own food and eat with your kids. "American Idol" will begin its search for the next David Cook or David Archuleta on Thursday, July 17.

The latest "American Idol" audition tour will kick off at the Cow Palace July 17th, in San Francisco as TV's most watched show begins its quest for its eighth champion

The other seven cities that American Idol will visit are:
Louisville, Kentucky,  July 21
Phoenix, Arizona , July 25.
Salt Lake City, Utah, July 29.
Puerto Rico,  Aug. 2.
Kansas City -- Cook's hometown -- Aug. 8, 
Jacksonville, Florida, Aug. 13 
East Rutherford, New Jersey, Aug. 18.

Once again, auditions are open to men and women 16-28 years of age as
of July 14, 2008.
